The Alpha and The Omega

I am The Alpha:

Ogunquit, Maine
Outside Johnny’s Oarweed

Jenne Farm
Reading, Vermont

And The Omega:

Surf Club
Madison, Connecticut

Key West, Florida
Mallory Square Sunset

You’ve all heard the:
I’m The Alpha and The Omega.
The Beginning and The End.

Here it is in photos, CJP Photos, my photos
The Sunrise and the Sunset.

What do you do to start your day?
How do you end your day?
What do you do in the between?

How are you living your dash?
You know.  The dash on your tombstone, the between.  It’s how you live between The Alpha and The Omega, The Beginning and The End, The Sunrise and The Sunset that REALLY matter.

Are you paying attention?
It’s how you live your life between that matters!

I’ll say it again!
It’s how you live your life between that matters!

What have you done in the days you’ve lived thus far?
Are you pursuing your dreams?
Are you doing what you WANT to DO or what someone else WANTS you to DO?  When your time comes to transition:
–Will you look back and be able to say I lived THIS incarnation EXACTLY the way I wanted too?  No one convinced me to do something I didn’t want to do.
–Will you transition knowing others were grateful to have known you and called you friend?

That’s what REALLY matters.
Not how much money you acquired.
What matters is what kind of impact you made on those around you.  In one hundred years no one will care how much you owned, but people will remember if you were a good person.

How are you living your dash?

Will people remember you as a good person?  When your name comes up even now what do people say?  If you don’t like what you hear, change.  And don’t say it’s too hard.  It’s too difficult.  If you voice those intentions they will become a self fulfilling prophecy.  It’s the Law of Attraction in action.  Those are negative words.  Remove them from your lexicon.

Living a good life, a happy life, regardless of your circumstances is the way to bring more goodness to you, more happy to you, more joy to you.

Start living your dash, your Alpha and Omega, your Sunrise and Sunset today in joyfulness, in goodness.  Start spreading smiles instead of frowns.  Start spreading sunshine instead of clouds.

Start today.  Because you don’t know how much time you have left.

I’ll start:
Be Happy!  Be Well!  Be Positive!
Blessings to you.

  2. You knocked me with this one,and I was thinking that I was on a road to recovery. This post of yours just goes on to prove that I have a long way to go…Life is the sum of all your choices.
As I go through all kinds of feelings and experiences in my journey through life — delight, surprise, chagrin, dismay — I hold this question as a guiding light: “What do I really need right now to be happy?” What I come to over and over again is that only qualities as vast and deep as love, connection and kindness will really make me happy in any sort of enduring way.

  3. Breathtaking photos! I know SOMEBODY who’s paying attention to the glorious creation, from the rising of the sun to its setting. “It’s how you live your life that matters.”
    Well worth repeating Chris.

And to answer your question, yes: I am paying attention. Like you capturing those breathtaking moments in time, I’m seizing each new day by writing down the bones. The things I want to savor and reflect back on…
    The memories that mean something.

And I’m living in the dash by being always conscious that I may never see another sunrise, that this breath might be my last. Carpe Diem!
