What’s Your Secret

Others want to know your secret because you usually seem cheerful and confident about what you are doing. Thankfully, you are blessed because you can have a lot of fun while fulfilling your daily obligations. But you can’t divulge your method because you don’t have a hidden formula. Just do what you do best; continue to be honest while living your life as transparently as you can. The simplest things can bring you joy now, even if the current challenges you face demand your attention.

The moment I read my horoscope on Christmas Eve I knew I was going to to fit it into a blog column this week.  I have had others wonder about my almost perpetual positive mood.  Several times a week people ask how I maintain such an outlook.  The passage:
But you can’t divulge your method because you don’t have a hidden formula.
is true.  There is no secret or if there is I certainly don’t know it.

The only thing I can I say (and I understand that many of you will be shaking your heads) is I count on my faith to keep me centered.  I know that everything will be fine.  In the end, the Divine/God/Source has me in its embrace.  Whatever happens is meant to happen and God will keep me from any long term harm.

Thankfully, you are blessed because you can have a lot of fun while fulfilling your daily obligations.
I’ve written here before about finding your gift.  I am blessed that I’ve found the gifts that were given to me when I incarnated.  And that not only I can use them to help others but that I make a living doing so amazing.  It’s why I have so much fun while fulfilling my daily obligations.  I don’t consider my work obligations because I enjoy what I do so much.  You know that slogan:
Do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life.

That explains my attitude to a tee.  It’s why I’m able to maintain my positivity.
I love my job!
I love my life!

Yes I have challenges just like everyone, but I look to turn those challenges into blessings.
I don’t drive on the highway; but look where I work and live.  I work five minutes from my home.

If that’s not God looking out for me, if that’s not a gift from God then I don’t know what is.  That’w what I meant above when I wrote:
I know that everything will be fine.  In the end, the Divine/God/Source has me in its embrace.  Whatever happens is meant to happen and God will keep me from any long term harm.

I’m constantly looking at my challenges and turning them into gifts.  I guess that’s my secret.  If you can follow that simple step, if you want to do the work it takes to look for the blessings in your challenges, you too can change your life.

It won’t be easy to start, but it will get easier the more you practice.

Be Happy!  Be Well!  Be Positive!
Blessings to you.

Chris

  1. And one must not let himself forget it.

  2. Very beautiful words.

First time I read your blog and I really liked it.

Thats how everyone should see life, take their negative thoughts and turn them into possitive, and taking something possitive out of a “negative” experience.

    Happy new year man.

  3. Chris, I count on my faith to keep me centered, too. As far as I’m concerned, my life is nothing and means nothing without it. I know my God is holding me in His loving arms. No matter what we go through, we can embrace it because He is embracing us.
Great post and excellent testimony to how our lives, lived in His love, can communicate this love to others.
Blessings for a happy new year!

I loved this post Chris! Very positive! You’re right we all have challenges, but the attitude and perspective in which we face them makes all the difference in the world.

I haven’t been very regular at it, but I used to keep a gratitude journal, jotting down all the little blessings and things that struck me during the day as being beautiful and from God. It really helped me see how this life is truly amazing..filled with beauty and wonders and miracles..That it’s all here waiting to be enjoyed..we just have to learn to be aware in order to appreciate them all.

    Hope you’ve been well. 🙂

  6. I love that you included your horoscope.. the zodiac is full of widsom with the 12 astrological signs… I think 12 at the last supper is another consideration of God’s pattern. We can learn so much from each other & we all have the 12 signs in us some stronger than others.. Happy New Year … Peace & Love.. 🙂

  7. Hi, Chris!
I tried to leave a comment on your most recent post, but it told me it couldn’t connect. 😦
Loved this advice about raising children. Through my own experience, they respond so much better when encouraged in love. I tried to raise them this way. As they have turned out to be caring, warm people, I’d say I did okay!
Thanks for such an uplifting post for the new year!
May your new year be a blessed one!
